Author Guidelines

1. Scope and Suitability

  • Authors should ensure their manuscript fits within the journal’s scope: Islamic Finance, Sustainability, and Digital Innovation.

  • Only original, unpublished works not under consideration elsewhere will be accepted.

2. Manuscript Types

Al Mustaqim accepts:

  • Research Papers (5,000–8,000 words)

  • Conceptual Papers

  • Empirical Paper and Case Studies

3. Manuscript Format

  • Language: English or Bahasa Indonesia

  • Document: MS Word (.docx) only

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 spacing

  • Citation style: APA 7th Edition

  • All tables, figures, and appendices must be clearly labelled and cited in the text.

4. Structure

Each manuscript should generally include:

  1. Title (max. 15 words)

  2. Author(s) full name(s), affiliation(s), and email address

  3. Abstract (150–250 words) and Keywords (3–5)

  4. Introduction

  5. Literature Review

  6. Methodology

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion and Implications

  9. References

  10. Acknowledgements (if any)

5. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s official OJS platform.

  • Authors must register and complete the submission form with complete metadata.

  • Co-authors must be listed at the time of submission.

6. Peer Review Process

  • All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

  • Reviewers provide feedback within 4–6 weeks.

  • Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit according to reviewers’ comments.

7. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • We do not charge An APC  for accepted articles currently.

8. Copyright and Open Access

  • Published articles are open access under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

  • Authors retain copyright.

9. Ethics Statement

  • Authors must adhere to ethical standards for academic integrity.

  • Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are strictly prohibited. All manuscripts will be checked with plagiarism detection software.
