This Journal follows COPE’s Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (https://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines-new/principles-transparency-and-best-practice-scholarly-publishing) and seeks to adopt to the best of its ability COPE’s Core Practices in Promoting Integrity in Scholarly Research and its Publication (https://publicationethics.org/core-practices). This statement is based on COPE’s Core Practices.
Al Mustaqim - Journal of Islamic Finance, Sustainability and Digital Innovation — published by Rasyidin Institute — is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and to follow the core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved — authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher — are expected to fully adhere to these ethical guidelines to ensure the integrity and quality of scholarly communication.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and properly cites the work and words of others. Plagiarism in any form is unethical and unacceptable.
Multiple Submissions
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently.
Authorship
Only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research should be listed as authors. All co-authors must agree to the final version of the paper.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence their work.
Data Access and Retention
Authors should be prepared to provide raw data related to the paper for editorial review and retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy, they are obligated to promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.
Publication Decisions
The editor is responsible for deciding which manuscripts submitted will be published, based on the journal’s policies and the results of peer review.
Fair Play
The editor evaluates manuscripts for intellectual content without regard to authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality
The editor and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors should not use unpublished information for their own research without the author’s written consent.
Handling Unethical Behavior
Editors shall take reasonable responsive measures when ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted or published manuscript.
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and may also help authors improve their manuscript.
Promptness
Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified or unable to review the manuscript should notify the editor and excuse themselves.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear arguments to support constructive criticism.
Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors.
The publisher, Rasyidin Institute, takes its duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing extremely seriously and recognizes its ethical and other responsibilities. The publisher is committed to ensuring that advertising, reprint, or other commercial revenue has no impact or influence on editorial decisions. The publisher will assist the editorial board in communications with other journals and/or publishers where this is useful and necessary.
